The key to the Titans O-Line in 2o23
The Titans’ offense will look a lot different here in 2023, as there are many new faces being added to a lackluster 2022 offense. One position group that looks a lot different is the Offensive Line. Tennessee’s O-Line was one of the worst in the league last year, and GM Ran Carthon did a lot to fix the problem. Signing Daniel Brunskill, Andre Dillard, and newly acquired tackle Chris Hubbard were some of the O-line moves he made. Carthon also used his first-round pick on Northwestern Tackle/Guard Peter Skoronski, who will start at LG. Though many are focused on the newcomers on the Titans’ O-line, this returning lineman is the key to the Titans’ success in the trenches this season….
Aaron Brewer was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Texas State by the Titans. The All-Sun Belt Second Team selection has played guard and center his entire career for the Titans and started all 17 games last season. Brewer’s versatility to play both guard and center made him a valuable piece on a struggling Titans’ O-Line. Pro Bowl Center Ben Jones was in and out of the lineup last year, but Brewer was able to fill in well for the vet. With Jones now off the team, Brewer will be the full-time, starting center for Ten this season. Though he is undersized at 6’2, the former Texas State star has worked hard in the offseason to put on more weight, as he is weighing about 280LBS now. Brewer’s durability is also a plus as the Titans have been one of the more injured teams in the league the past couple of seasons. While many are talking about the others on the Titans’ O-Line, don’t forget about the new starting center for the hopeful AFC South Champs, Aaron Brewer……
